On Zone and Gap 区 间

(2021)

is a 16-minute conceptual video that offers a philosophical reflection on how we perceive the invisible and how we approach the unknown. It explores the Gap — the space between what is known and what is projected toward the unknown — a space that can manifest as invisibility, uncertainty, chaos, or darkness. The work poses questions such as: What are Zone and Gap? How do Zone and Gap relate, and how might transitions occur between invisibility and visibility? Developed in relation to projection, visibility, measurability, and movement, the work proposes an embodied and spatial attitude toward navigating the thresholds between knowing and unknowing.
